Like traditional upper class families, there are nannies and servants, and the children, you know, come in to say good-night before they go to bed. There’s very little private time with the children in the early years. Actually, there’s much more private time with the children in the 20s.
- If I start to feel run-down or like I’m going to get sick, I know I need sleep – stat. I can sometimes keep a sickness at bay with a good night’s sleep!
- A half-hour before bedtime, I remind myself that I now deserve to prepare myself for a good night’s sleep. You can’t focus on your work if you’re sleep-deprived even if you have a fascinating job.
