For mental and emotional health, quiet time is very important to me. I need a point in every day that I disconnect from all electronics and reconnect to my center. I pray and meditate. I drink a ton of water and believe in a good night’s sleep.
- If I start to feel run-down or like I’m going to get sick, I know I need sleep – stat. I can sometimes keep a sickness at bay with a good night’s sleep!
- A half-hour before bedtime, I remind myself that I now deserve to prepare myself for a good night’s sleep. You can’t focus on your work if you’re sleep-deprived even if you have a fascinating job.
